So I keep trying brands and I keep getting let down. I have read a lot of reviews in the review section, and I've ordered brands/flavors that people rave about only to be very upset when I get them. I realize this is going to be horribly subjective but I don't have income to just throw around to try every brand.

So, I've tried: Romman, Starbuzz, Nakhla, Fusion, Al-Waha
I'm not a fan of romman, something about the taste seems artificial almost. Also, I feel completely ripped off because it seems half the weight is just juice and I get nowhere near the shisha amount as say Nakhla.
I've had starbuzz at a local lounge, and it probably has the best flavor I've tried so far. Only thing is, it is pretty expensive to be ordering 250g tins, it really adds up.
Al-Waha just sucks in my opinion. Flavor doesn't last, nothing really in the buzz department.
Fusion I had high hopes. Read amazing reviews in the review section. Smelled amazing, but I hardly can taste it. Its very weak, and again nothing in the buzz department (I do enjoy a little one every now and then to wind down)
Nakhla could be the best one I've tried so far. I got double apple. Tastes OK. This is what I consider a nice buzz too.

I want to try Tangiers, but I am going to hold off on it for a little bit, so I know everyone will suggest it

Now my questions: What is this Mizo line of Nakhla like? Is it the same as og just wetter? Can someone recommend the top flavors of Nakhla? (I think its a very good bang for your buck)
What would be a high quality brand thats not quite as pricey as Starbuzz, but has the greatest flavor consistency across brand? (Nothing more irritating than getting one flavor and loving it, then buying another 250g tin and be horrible disgusted)

Anything else is welcome. Apologies for the long post! Sorry if this is a frequent question, I've just read so many reviews and everyone says everything is great and I know everything is not great.

So my close friend and I are thinking of starting a hookah bar in our college town to compete with the shitty one that students flood to. Obviously this place is making enough money to stay afloat, and they have a serious number of people working for the place, but does a hookah bar really rake in that much money? I mean, I know a lot of you guys out there can really crank out some numbers, so what kind of profit margin are we looking at for a standard hookah bar? Hypothetically speaking, of course. The reason I'm concerned about this, as any small business owner should be, is due to the fact that I would have to take out a loan to open the bar and would look to pay that money back as soon as possible. Of course there will be fountain drinks available to buy, but we're looking to price the hookahs around 10-12 dollars and we're sort of leaning towards AF or Al Waha for our shisha due to price and reliability. We know that the drinks will bring in a ton of money, at least more than enough to cover the 30 dollar bags of syrup that produce over 300+ glasses of each drink. That being said, what do you guys think? We'll both have our "other," less interesting jobs that we'll do during the day to cover our expenses at home, but do you feasibly think we could pay off a loan of 10k-20k in a years time while still keeping an active stock on products? Oh, and we're leaning toward Coco Naras or some other form of natural coal, purely because we want to give our customers a good smoke first and foremost. Before anyone asks, yes, we'll be using Kalil's, so that expense, along with hoses, shisha, coals, foil, and drinks will be covered by the loan money.

Give me your two cents! We're really looking to put some numbers together this winter, write up a plan, and possibly have our loan and location picked out by summer and open for business:) Anyone who owns a hookah bar and purchases all of their products, your input is HIGHLY valued.

First session with the new 23" "Brass" Temsaah. I will post reviews once I get some more session in with it. I put brass in quotes because as you can see from the pictures only the top of the stem is brass, the internals appear to all be SS or nickle plated or something (but definately not brass)- which was actually good news in my book as this should be easier to maintain.

I felt like I didn't get the best smoke, but that may be caused by several factors- first off this was my first session with not only this particular hookah, but a smaller one to boot. It was probably the first time I packed AF alone (and didn't mix with my usual AW)... the new Narbish hose has a much wider guage which will take some getting used to... and the 30 degree temperature might have caused some problems as well (and no, I have no portable heater lol).

My only real complaint would be that the inside edge of the tray is not raised, unlike on my other egyptian. The tray definitely is awesome looking, but this means ash gets all over the little base the tray sits on which isn't really an issue, but not exactly preferred either.

So far the Temsaah seems to be exactly what I wanted, at 23" it is much easier to clean and maintain so far than the 34" I have.

So I bought this hookah at a hookah bar in dekalb, il and it's my first real hookah. I say real because I'm trying to forget about the last 3 bad hookah's i've bought. So what I'm trying to figure out is if this is a brand where I could buy stuff online to replace stuff if it gets broken. I have a few pics I hope they help.



Also I'm kind of new to hookah I was just wondering if this is a good way to store my shisha.

Okay so it has been a while since Ii've tried not poking a hole in the middle of a phunnel. Prob a couple years? So tonight i said heck, why not try it.

So i didn't poke a hole, I had nak sweet melon mixed with zaghloul and a little mizo mint, and daaaaamn, the buzz was awesome.

I believe it is because less air is being mixed with the smoke so you get more smoke rather than air and smoke. Clouds were the same size, flavor seemed the same, but the buzz was bigger for sure.

Anyone notice this? Or just me?

Now recently I have been coughing like crazy so I decided to go to the doctors and he announced that I have pneumonia. From the X-Ray, My whole left lung was covered. He told me it was from my water pipe and that I have to stop. Over the past 2 months I started getting to the range of 3-5 times a week I would smoke. He told me if I don't stop, (Eww just puked) I'll have a 80% chance of getting alot worse and getting lung cancer. If I stop, I got a 25% chance of getting lung cancer. Hookah's not worth that much to me so I have to stop. I'm just wondering I hear that people smoke 3-4 times a DAY. Y did this happen to me from 3-5 times a week? He told me I have sensitive lungs but still they're are alot of hookah smokers out there why me out of everyone? I cough every 10 seconds and puke every 50 coughs in my mouth. Anyone ever got this bad? Should I quit or slow down or just wait? Let me know, Thanks. I should be putting all my stuff in the trade thread sooner or later so check that out when you get a chance.
