  • I just got in my order from 5starhookah.com of my new KM double pearl hookah, KM hose, fantasia lucky, fantasia mint, starbuzz blue mist, al fakher cherry and al fakher watermelon.

Currently I'm smoking the fantasia lucky out of my new phunnel bowl and all I can say about this hookah, is wow.
This is the easiest pulling, best purging hookah I have ever smoked out of. Getting the thickest clouds and best flavor and it's amazing.
I definitely recommend this hookah is you are looking for getting a new one.

    Mya QT Hookah Review

great job on this review. I own a mya qt (i named it "Napoleon Bonaparte" lol), everything is stock and it impresses me every time i use it, i am obviously not going to keep it stock forever, i am currently awaiting a nammor hose, with the mystique ice tip, a heba diffuser, and a vortex bowl. But even as a stock peice this little hookah is quite nice. Honestly i haven't had too many problems with the bowl, but it cannot handle more juicy brands of shisha like fantasia blueberry

Recently I was contacted by LuxuryHookah to see if I wanted a free sample of one of their hookahs to review. I was offered the Fire but opted for the Chad for a couple reasons. I like the design better and I like more moderately sized hookahs. Yesterday I got two packages in the mail that had shipped from Lebanon, through Leipzig, through Paris and finally to my door via DHL. Everything was well packed but that's for a vendor review.

Looking at the hookah the most striking feature is the black coating with etchings allowing the brass underneath to show through. It's not my favorite style but it looks great and is an interesting contrast to my other hookahs. It definitely draws the eye and everyone I've shown it to really like it. The coating on the stem seems has a slight gloss to it and seems like a paint of some kind. The coating on the tray is duller and may be a high heat material. This is a good thing. I noticed no scorching, marking, smells or smoke when letting the charcoal sit in the tray. The coating on the stem only extends to the heart and does not coat the down stem so it will never come in contact with water.

This coating seems very durable but I plan on doing some stress tests to see what it can stand. I'll update after I do.

The stem is surprisingly light. It's still heavy but it's of a similar weight to my shorter Nour Karakol. I'd like to actually weigh them and see where they stand but this is not a deal breaker for me. It's of brass construction with fairly thick walls but it seems like it's hollow with a brass down stem rather than solid cast brass. I'm okay with this as one of my concerns with the two larger brothers of this hookah was that they would be very top heavy. If you are one of those people that wants the heaviest hookah ever this isn't it. I'm unsure about the larger ones LuxuryHookah offers but I'm willing to bet they are of similar construction. Well made but not truly a solid brass stem. I think that this is a good compromise, especially with such large hookahs.

The vase is not so great. The designs on it are eye catching and very bright but a little much for me. I prefer more subtle designs but the paint seems to be of a decent quality. We shall see if it stands the test of time and moisture. The major problem is air bubbles. The glass is absolutely filled with them. It doesn't seem like weak glass but I don't plan on doing any stress tests on it any time soon. That many air bubbles must have some effect on the structural integrity so I'm being careful with it. I plan on replacing the vase even if it doesn't break.

The standard features of this hookah are good. The draw is pretty open, the hose port is pretty big, the purge is easy, the tray is nicely sized and the down stem is fairly long. The added features are where this hookah really shines though.

Starting with the simple, the hookah came with a metal ball bearing in the purge but had an additional two plastic BBs for replacements. It came with all the grommets that I needed and an extra set of hose/bowl grommets. The base grommet is a finned silicone grommet. My favorite kind. The tongs are a fairly soft metal which some people like and some people don't. It means that they can be resized and adjusted but also that they don't have the most spring to them. The poker on the tongs is useless like pretty much every poker. Blunt pokers are nothing but trouble when trying to make holes.

The hose is the first really nice addition. It's not the most beautiful hose I've ever used but it matches the hookah well and has a cool style to it. The end pieces are cast plastic rather than carved acrylic. The hose is washable and fairly long. It does not use grommets but rather the tip sits snugly inside the handle that seems to be made from PVC. One less thing to fail IMO but I'm interested to see if it can work at all with my glass mouth pieces. I'll bet it's going to need a bowl grommet to use them. Only a slight plastic taste and that went away quickly.

This hookah comes with a solid brass, screw on diffuser. It works really well and will obviously last for a long time being made of solid brass. It fits snuggly and seals well. Included was also a bulb to make the down stem look more like a normal hookah when the diffuser is not in use but I don't really see a point. You don't see the tip of the down stem when it's all set up and I don't believe it effects the smoke so I'd call that wasted brass. Some people might not want the exposed threads on the bottom of the down stem but I'm not worried about it. It's all brass and is out of sight.

Finally, we get to how it functions. The simple answer is very well. I'm not the kind of person to freak out about a new hookah and mark it as the most amazing rig EVAR! It's a good hookah that has a good purge, long stem, wide gauge and a good draw. I'll be pulling out the calipers and seeing how it compares to my KMs but until then just be happy to know that the draw is similar. Nice and open without any problems. I'll be using this hookah regularly.

All in all I'm going to reserve a number rating for later. I've only smoked from it once at this point, I've only used it with the diffuser and this hookah is fresh from the factory so I'll be keeping a close eye on how it's effected by use. It's a good hookah and one I'm very happy to own.

Once again, I'd like to give a big thank you to LuxuryHookah for their very generous gift and their trust to give fair an unbiased reviews.

I have a question for you...
can you tell me if the inside of the 3 similar stem parts have an interior tube or are just empty and following the curvature of the outside shape?

thanks

There is no tube through the center. They follow the curvature of the design. It appears as if they were sand cast due to the rough interior of the brass.
