Question About Acclimation In General (non Brand)

Hi guys, got a little question for you. I recently got about 500 grams of non brand tobacco as a gift from Turkey. Now i split it into 2 batches of 250 in old nakhla cans. The first 250 is almost smoked up, but i noticed the smell and the flavour got less strong in the later bowls (smoke still good). I was wondering if it would help or hurt the flavour if i tried acclimating some of the rest of the tobacco, since i don't want to waste any i thought i'd ask. It's quite coarsely cut and about Nakhla wetness. I assume it's unwashed since it's home made stuff. Could it also be a storage problem? I'd think it'd be ok in nakhla cans with an undamaged lid.
